LVP5.0 is the newest version of the most widely used limb edema/lymphedema assessment software.
We believe that it will provide you with a very useful and easy to use tool to help you record, track,
document and report limb volume changes in your patients. This newest version adds many new
features to the previous LVP4.0 tool set including the following major new capabilities.

1. Option to use variable (nonuniform) segment lengths between adjacemt
   limb circumference measurement locations (arm and leg). This feature
allows use of multiple custom segment lengths, each of a different length,
to accommodate your custom measurement protocol. As with the uniform
  segment specification you can graphically compare and report sequential
changes in limb volumes and edema volume and edema percentages.

2. Option to additionally define proximal and distal limb volumes of
interest and to automatically determine, compare and track these
volumes. You can also graphically compare each region to total limb volume.
   This feature allows easy determination of which limb regions are
   responding to therapy. This option is available for both uniform and for
   variable segment assignments.

3. Option to automatically determine and report the patient's body mass index (BMI) and body surface area (BSA)
simply by entering height and weight. values can be automatically included in the summary report. for reference.

4. A much streamlined and enhanced user interface to provide even more convenience to enter information.

In addition, all of the useful features of LVP4.0 have been retained including the following.

Updated interface to easily negotiate between visits and enter data
Enter patient data once in a new and more convenient format
Option to include HAND volumes and automatically add to arm volumes in UE patients
using either circumference measurements or width - depth measurements based on
scientifically validated algorithms and streamlined data entry procedure
Option to include FOOT volumes and automatically add to leg volumes in LE patients
based on a scientifically validated algorithm and streamlined data entry procedure
Track hand and foot volumes seperately and as part of total limb volume
Reporting/Graphic features for both unilateral and bilateral cases
Absolute limb volume changes from initial visit for both limbs at all visits
Self -contained patient data and graphics in a single file - no fumbling with complex databases
Doubles the number of visit capacity of LVP3.0 - now at 24 to satisfy virtually all patient needs
Percentage change in limb volumes from initial visit for both limbs at all visits
Increased flexibility in defining affected limb
Graphics automatically display data up to and including most recent visit
All other useful features such as %edema and edema volume for unilateral limb involvement remain

The software was "field-tested" by experienced therapists and nurses; it got rave reviews. Also, feedback from referring
physicians and other health care providers has indicated that the printed/graphic reports of their patients progress has been
extremely useful. They have recommended its use as a "gold-standard" for therapy progress documentation. It has also
been used by researchers as their primary method of tracking limb volume changes in lymphedema and edmea studies.
